Cardelli, Lanfear & Buikema, P.C., has locations in both Royal Oak and Grand Rapids, Michigan. Our clients range from individuals to small businesses to national corporations.

Services

The firm takes great pride in being small enough to ensure that all of our clients may forget that they are not our only client. But our clients also appreciate that we are large enough to handle a variety of their matters. Our clients benefit from the fact that we are also large enough to devote substantial resources to continuing legal education and sharing that knowledge through newsletters and training sessions for our clients.

Although we are trial lawyers, our lawyers present a wide array of experience in the areas of insurance defense, insurance coverage practice, employment, professional liability, auto negligence, property damage, product liability, workers compensation, medical malpractice, professional malpractice, toxic tort, subrogation matters, appellate litigation and ERISA and health welfare plans, divorce, custody/visitation, child support, alimony, enforcement of judgments of divorce, and bankruptcy.

Local Counsel

Cardelli, Lanfear & Buikema, P.C. regularly serve as local counsel for attorneys and their clients litigating matters in the State of Michigan, including both state and federal courts. With offices in the Detroit metropolitan area and Grand Rapids, we litigate matters throughout the state for our own resident clients. We can assist non-resident clients, law firms, and lawyers in litigating matters in these courts. As your resident representative, we can assist you with pro hac vice admission, as well as any and all other litigation matters deemed more prudent for local handling. We have also served as local counsel for appellate matters.

To discuss your case with a lawyer at the law firm, please kindly call one of our offices. For the Detroit metropolitan area, (248) 544-1100. For Grand Rapids, (616) 285-3800. Alternatively, you may simply fill out the contact form on this site.

Update: In September 2008, the Michigan Supreme Court adopted new rules regarding pro hac vice admission. The new rules are more restrictive and, as a result, are more likely to lead to denials of pro hac vice motions based on procedural and substantive defects. It is all the more important that you obtain local assistance to navigate these new rules changes.
